Live interpreter for iPhone

Google Translate translates sentences. Languido understands conversations.

It listens to the room, figures out who is speaking which language, translates with full conversation context — and can whisper the translation straight into your AirPods. Everything core runs on your iPhone, even in airplane mode.

Coming soon to the App Store.
Requires iPhone on iOS 26.

Three modes

One app for every situation where language gets in the way

Face-to-face chats, group dinners, lectures in a language you're learning — each mode is tuned for how people actually talk.

Face-to-face, two languages, zero fumbling

Two on-device transcribers race — one per language — and per-utterance arbitration decides who spoke. No passing the phone back and forth, no tapping a language button.

  • Chat-bubble transcript with spoken translations
  • Reply suggestions in the other language
  • Instant draft, then an AI pass refines it in place using the whole conversation

Group dinners, meetings, and everyone talking at once

On-device speaker diarization gives every voice a stable color and a renamable label. When two people talk over each other, their words are split into separate bubbles instead of turning into soup.

  • Tracks up to 10 speakers at ~100 ms resolution
  • Overlapping speech split per speaker and tagged
  • Rename voices on the fly — "Waiter", "Maria", "Grandpa"

Lectures, TV, podcasts — in the language you're learning

Listen mode transcribes one language indefinitely with no translation and no language hunting. Follow along, and when a word loses you, tap it for a quick translation.

  • Endless transcription, tuned for a single language
  • Tap any word for an instant translation
  • Save words as flashcards, reviewed with spaced repetition

AirPods interpreter mode

A voice in your ear, like a UN interpreter

Wear your AirPods and put the phone on the table. The phone's mic listens to the room, and translations are spoken quietly into your ear — in real time, while the other person keeps talking.

  • Barge-in aware — the voice pauses the moment someone starts talking and catches up in the silences.
  • Pocket mode — a haptic tap signals new translations when the phone is put away.
  • Deliberate audio routing — capture stays on the phone mic so Bluetooth keeps full-quality audio in your ear.

Offline-first, private by design

Everything core runs on your iPhone

Download a language pack once and Languido works on a plane, in a basement restaurant, or three days into a trek. Speech recognition, speaker identification, and translation all run on the device — and conversations live in memory only. They are never stored and never leave your phone on the offline path.

Comprehension aids

Built for understanding, not just word-swapping

A conversation-state tracker follows the topic and pins key facts like prices and times, so every translation lands with context.

Catch me up

Zoned out for a minute? Get a summary of what's been said so far, and jump back in.

Back-translation safety check

Before you say something risky, see exactly what they will hear: "They will hear: …".

Idioms, decoded

See the literal words and the real meaning side by side, plus cultural phrasing warnings before you step in it.

Reply chips

One-tap suggested replies in the other language, matched to the register — friend, stranger, or official.

Camera translation

Point it at a menu, sign, or label. Photo translation handles the printed world.

Learn as you go

Tap any word to save it as a flashcard, reviewed with spaced repetition in the built-in Learn tab — with full courses for the languages you use most.

Romanization & slow speech

Pinyin and romaji under the script, with a "say it slowly" button when you need to hear it again.

Big numbers, made obvious

Prices, times, and quantities render in big digits — the details you can't afford to mishear.

AI refinement, in place

An instant on-device draft appears immediately, then an AI pass re-translates with the full conversation history — the bubble upgrades before your eyes.

Stop translating sentences.
Start understanding people.
